Cindy Stuart is the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller, taking office in January 2021 after being elected in September 2020. Prior to her role as Clerk, she served for eight years on the Hillsborough County School Board.
During her tenure on the School Board, Cindy played a crucial role in the Legislative Committee, actively engaging with contracted firms on state and federal legislative matters. She also served as a board member for the Florida School Boards Association and participated in its state legislative committee.

With a passion for transportation, Cindy chaired the School Board’s Transportation Committee and contributed to the Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization. Additionally, she represented the School Board on the boards of the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts and the Glazer Children’s Museum Board.

Born and raised in Tampa, Cindy attended A.P. Leto Comprehensive High School and worked diligently to finance her college education. She became the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems and Programming from Florida International University.

Currently residing in Tampa, Cindy is a dedicated mother to three children.
